Project Engineer
Job Summary
Marina Landscape, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support our Project Managers in coordinating and executing landscape construction projects from award through completion. This role is responsible for assisting with project documentation, submittals, material procurement, scheduling, and administrative support to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and with the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans and specifications to understand project scope and requirements
Assist Project Managers with multiple phases of projects including submittals, procurement, and documentation
Maintain and track submittal logs and project documentation
Prepare project job books for Superintendents and Foremen
Attend pre-construction meetings and assist with project coordination
Assist with preparing change orders, estimates, and requests for quotations
Gather and manage material samples and plant material photographs
Submit soil samples to testing laboratories and track results
Review as-built drawings for accuracy and legibility
Maintain project logs and assist with project close-out documentation
Compile close-out documents including warranties, manuals, and spare parts lists
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and project specifications
Provide excellent service to clients, vendors, and internal staff
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic knowledge of construction processes preferred (landscape, irrigation, hardscape, pavers, or lighting)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency with computers and office software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with project teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in landscape construction or construction project coordination
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and use computers and office equipment regularly
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Occasional visits to project sites may be required
Additional Requirements
Valid Class C Driver’s License required
Must pass background check and/or drug screening if required
Must sign Confidentiality, Non-Disclosure, and Non-Solicitation Agreement prior to employment
90-day introductory period
Working Conditions: Work is predominately in an office environment with associated noise, space, and computer screen exposure.
